State Preschool Program

Location: Perry Campus

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 9:15 AM – 12:15 PM

The State Preschool Program is an engaging learning environment designed for independent toilet-trained 3 or 4-year-olds to support the development of the “whole child”.

The emergent curriculum is aligned with the California Preschool Foundations and Common Core Standards that adapt to the interests of children. The State Preschool Program is creative, and child-centered, and encourages exploration in science, mathematics, art, music, and literacy. It is designed to flow directly into the HBCSD kindergarten curriculum—allowing for ease of transition to the elementary school program.

Experienced, highly qualified, and licensed Early Childhood Instructional teams (1 adult: 8 children ratio); maximum 24 children).

Free for families who meet eligibility requirements; children with an IEP may exceed income requirements. Enrollment forms are collected on a year-round basis and students may enroll as space allows.
