December Board Meeting Highlights

Seacliff Elementary School Report

The Seacliff Student Council, principal Mr. Andrzejewski, and teachers Mrs. Downs and Mrs. Twogood presented to the Board and highlighted some of their outstanding kindness and philanthropic projects. These initiatives encompassed a range of activities, such as raising funds for those impacted by the Maui wildfires, gathering items for the Pasta-thon to support local families, organizing a holiday toy drive to provide gifts for Miller’s Children's Hospital, and more! The collective efforts of Seacliff's community were truly impressive, reflecting remarkable unity and generosity. This commitment to making a positive impact beyond the school's walls is commendable and deserves recognition. Excellent work!

Board Meeting Dates for the 2024 Calendar Year
The Board approved the schedule of meeting dates for the 2024 calendar year.

First Interim 2023-24 All Funds Budget
The Board certified and approved the positive financial status in the First Interim Reports for 2023-24. The Education Code mandates school districts to certify their financial viability through the Interim Report Process twice yearly. Certifications include "positive," "qualified," or "negative" based on their ability to meet financial obligations. The First Interim Financial Report, covering transactions through October 31, 2023, reveals an initial expectation of community-funded status in 2023-24. However, updated projections indicate a delay to 2024-25 due to increased state funding from an enrollment change. To learn more, visit the District community-funded transition status website.
